We headed up to Mt. Hood to do some skiing on Saturday. The Portland rain turned into sleet and hail and finally snow once we got to a certain elevation. The snow was rapidly coming down by the time we arrived at Ski Bowl.
The mountains and scenery were breathtaking! These KY girls were quite excited to start skiing...until we started skiing. Ummm, we quickly realized that ski goggles are absolutely essential for skiing when the snow is rapidly falling. Since we didn't exactly bring goggles (who needs more than sunglasses skiing in KY?) our skiing didn't last all that long. So we headed up to the restaurant to enjoy the views and a mountainous plate of nachos!
We were determined to enjoy every moment of our trip...even when the best plans got cut a little short by a little goggle mishap. We learned that 10 inches of snow fell on the mountain that day!
