Skiing went much better the second day! We borrowed goggles, bought face masks, and were absolutely prepared for our second try at skiing. Can you tell we are smiling?
After falling down a few slopes (and losing a ski or two) we figured out that Heather was taking us on part of a blue trail. These KY girls don't do so well on blue hills! We are definitely green level girls and are totally okay and comfortable not doing anything harder!
We then found a great green trail that led us into a winter wonderland. It was like being in the middle of Narnia with the towering trees and sparkling banks of snow. We were a bit astounded by the huge snow drifts and the magical feel of the trails.
We ended the night with a trip to a great Lebanese restaurant. We should have taken a picture of the flat bread that just about covered our entire table. I love my friends who are always up for eating different ethnic foods. And it's great because they're always more adventurous than I am to try the weird stuff on the menu!
