Mongolian Culture Show

One of the fun things that I have experienced since being in Mongolia was going last night to a cultural show. We enjoyed watching the people in their native costumes singing, dancing, and playing their instruments. It was amazing to notice that almost every single one of the instruments on the stage was different than instruments in our country. The sound was still amazing!
These mask dancers were trying to teach a lesson between good and bad.
Look at the amazing costumes of these men. They were "throat singing". Never before have I heard this kind of sound come from the back of the throat. It kind of reminded me of the droning sound of the Australian didgeradoo instrument (remember hearing that on Australia Day?). Also notice the instrument the man is playing. It is called the horse head fiddle.
