I spent the last week of June with a college friend and her children in the Denver, Colorado area. What a spectacular place to live! There were beautiful mountains and scenery everywhere you looked. We got to go hiking and sight seeing around the area. It is an incredible place with very different scenery than in Lexington. We visitied the Garden of the Gods where there are huge red sandstone rock formations that soar above as you walk or drive around the area. There were many people rock climbing up the different rock formations. Do you remember what kind of rock sandstone is??? (Sedimentary!!!) I wish we could have taken a field trip there during our study of geology this year!
